Chalks - Brown and Yellow-Orange Cuttlebug embossing envelope - Textile Textures 1-1/16-inch hole punch
Embellishments - Mauve cording Brown brads Taupe ribbon Brown paper flower Burgundy marker
Instructions - Run the Mauve card stock through the cuttlebug embossing envelope and fold it 2-inches from the end. Trim away the two corners at a 90-degree angle. Glue down the Brown card stock piece to use as a pattern for making the holes to string. Punch out the holes and string the Mauve cording.
On the White card stock strip, stamp the following inks and stamps (it is good to stamp a second time before reinking for variation of color):
Heart in Burgundy ink Buttons in Pinecone and then again in Split Pea ink Leaves in Green Tea ink Flower in Pinecone ink
Then chalk the outer edges of the strip with both chalks listed above.
Make the medallions... Stamp two Hearts in Split Pea ink on White paper and cut out. Use a Burgundy marker to make faux stitches along the edge and set aside.
Stamp the word stamps in either Burgundy or Pinecone inks and cut out with a heart-shaped punch. Here I used a Martha Stewart punch, which we don't actually carry but you can find easily. Since the punch was not quite large enough for the text, I stamped anyway and for each sentiment, I edged the newly punched heart with Brown chalk and inserted it back into the paper it was punched from. Then I trimmed the excess, glued both pieces to a piece of Brown card stock and trimmed away the excess.
After you have finished making all of the medallions, glue them to the stamped strip. Then make a ribbon pull-out by attaching the ribbon with a couple of Brown brads and then insert the finished strip among the crisscrossed Mauve cording.
Final embellishments - Add the ribbon and the paper flower to the flap of the "envelope." Attach the flower with one of the Brown brads. I used a dab of Tombow Monomulti glue on the flap to allow it to stay shut (let it dry before closing the flap).
