Inks – Archival Black ink
Embellishments - Cuttlebug embossing folders – “D'Vine Swirls” and “Swiss Dots” Colored Pencils – Pink and Green Rectangular scalloped die – I used Spellbinders Nestabilities Scalloped Ovals (S4-111) Gold Paint Pen
Instructions - Run the Pink card stock through the “D'vine Swirls” embossing folder and set aside. Then run the Pea Green card stock square through the “Swiss Dots” embossing folder and glue it to the slightly larger White square. Glue the resulting square to the Pink card base, oriented like a diamond shape. Set aside.
Use the Archival Black ink and a White scrap to make a wreath of flowers. For added depth, stamp a second time before re-inking. When the ink dries, use the Pink and Green Colored Pencils to color in the flowers. I used the Green pencil for the darker impressions and a really light touch with the Pink pencil for the second-impressions. Next, cut the wreath out and run the ribbon through the cut-out. Glue to the card base, on top of the green diamond.
Next, make the medallion and floral cut-outs. On a scrap piece of White paper, stamp “happy day.” Run the stamped piece through the rectangular die and then use the stamp to make a border. When the ink is dry, use the small-tipped Gold Paint Pen to color in the flowers. Edge the scalloped border with the paint pen. When dry, glue to the small, pre-cut piece of Pea Green card stock. Mount on PopIt! Shapes tape and attach it to the card base, in the center of the wreath you made earlier.
Floral Cut-outs - On another White scrap, use the stamp and the Black ink again to make three floral clusters. Color them in with the Pink and Green Colored Pencils, this time using darker strokes with the pencils. Then cut out all three clusters and mount them with PopIt! tape to the rectangular medallion you made earlier.
A little tiny-tipped glitter glue can add extra sparkle to your finished card!
