General News
This summer has been busy for all of us at Rubber Stamp Tapestry. Don and Susan have been setting
their booth up at rubber stamp conventions across the United States, sometimes attending more than
three in a month! They were thrilled to meet many of you for the first time as well as catch up with those
of you that frequent their booth. Back at the shop we were busy filling orders for the more than 175 stores
that now carry our stamp sets! We do have some exciting things to tell you about and some new
features to our newsletter that we hope you enjoy.
WE HAVE A NEW WEBSITE!
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that shopping online at Rubber Stamp Tapestry is a
whole new experience! We have kicked our old shopping cart software to the curb and welcome our
new, easy to use system. Here are some of the features you will now enjoy:
We Remember You! - once you purchase from us you'll never have to type your
information again (except for your password)
Wish List - The wish list feature allows you to save items to a list in your account that you may wish to purchase at a later date
Gift Certificates - You can now purchase gift certificates. When the recipient uses the
certificate our shopping cart system will keep track of your balance.
Shopping Cart features “Crash Protection” - if you add an item(s) to your cart and if for some reason you are unable to complete your purchase, don't worry, your item(s) will still be in the cart when you visit our store again.
Accessories - if you purchase a stamp set you will be happy to see all the inks and any
accessories you'll need for that set listed on the right and the quick click boxes make it easy to purchase all the inks at one time without having to enter the shopping cart for each individual item.
Search - allows you to search for exactly what you desire
Unique progress bar - shows where you are in the checkout process at all times during checkout.
Recent History - helps you remember which products you have recently viewed and might still be interested in purchasing.
E-mail product to a friend - Sends an attractive email of the product, photo, and price to your friend.
Please bear with us as we switch over to our new website. We hope you will find the new site easy to use. At this time, you will notice that there are some features from our old site that are absent from our new site. We are working on bringing back those features.
RUBBER STAMP TAPESTRY IN PRINT
Rubber Stamp Tapestry stamps appeared in several publications over the summer:
Martha Stewart Living - August issue. “Rubber Stamp Designs” page 112 by Bethany Little and Gemma Comas. Stamps featured were the Walking Bird, Chrysanthemum Solid, Cardinal, Trout Lily and Maidenheart Fern.
Scrap & Stamp Arts - July/August issue. “Rubber Stamp Tapestry Peg Stamp Sets” in the MultiPurpose section page 8 by Judi Kauffman. From cards to wrapping paper to wedding announcements and scrapbook pages, Judi showed just how versatile a set from RST can be; she used the Floral Wreath set.
The Rubber Stamper - July/August issue. “We've got you Pegged and Bordered” in the Limelight section page 112. We are featured here along with BD Papers as having complimentary products.
Rubber Stampin' Retailer - our business was featured in this trade magazine.
DON WINS 2ND PLACE IN COSTUME COMPETITION
This year I was excited to hear that there was a convention where Don and Susan must dress up, and the
theme was a Luau. As the date for the Stampaway Convention in Ohio approached we heard rumors
around the shop as to what Susan and Don's costumes would be, and of course we all gave our input
and jokes. From fake pineapples and leis to tiki torches and tropical plants, the decorations for the
show continued to accumulate, but we were most excited about the wardrobe. Unfortunately, Don
would not confirm the rumors that he was going as a woman in a patio dress! Needless to say
when they returned from the show with photos, Don was the brunt of many jokes.
We were happy to hear however, that he won second place for best dressed vendor.
IT WAS TIME FOR A FACE LIFT
We are happy to tell you that we have updated the cards in our sets. Now, each set card is full of
color with visual step-step instructions on the back. We have altered the colors of some of the sets,
but most have stayed the same. The new cards are have a refreshing new look, and will give new ideas for
sets you may have overlooked before!
WE HAVE EXPANDED OUR INK PALETTE
Susan has added some new VersaColor inks to her palette! They are available in our online catalog as Cube, Full-Size and Reinkers. You will now see these new colors in some of our old sets, and you will surely see them in our sets to come:

Beyond Rubber Stamp Tapestry
Don and Susan's son Donny has started a new company called Walton Rubber Stamps.
He works closely with BD Papers to create stamps that compliment their paper as well as sets from Rubber Stamp Tapestry. In fact, some of the stamp designs
were hand lettered by Renee at BD Papers! You may now purchase a few selections from Walton Rubber Stamps on our new website. We hope to soon add products
from BD Papers to our online catalog as well.
The following card was created by Renee Sink of BD Papers. She used the new Christmas Love set. She chose a piece of beige colored card stock and smudged the edges with a Versacolor Burgundy ink pad. Then she stamped the Floral Celebration stamp in Versacolor Burgundy and Bamboo (she substituted for Evergreen).
She then chose a piece of Leather Frame ( TI-4018-B-RS1) paper, and smudged the edge with Versacolor Burgundy ink.
She used the inside rectangle as a guide to stamp a frame using the Christmas Love set. Next she followed the directions on the stamp sets, except she substituted Evergreen ink
for Bamboo ink. Renee finished up by using the Peace on Earth stamp from Walton Rubber
Stamps in Versacolor Bamboo ink.

We are happy to announce that we are now selling BD Papers on our website! Christmas, Basket Weave, and Orange Burst papers are now available!
Closing Remarks
Susan and Don and everyone here at Rubber Stamp Tapestry would like to thank you for all for your emails, suggestions, and business. I hope that you have a wonderful October and I look forward to emailing you in November with some more great news!
Sincerely - Rebecca Walton
